Every training at About Education is: INTERACTIVE INNOVATIVE INCLUSIVE INTERESTING
As mentioned in the intro already, soft skills and internationalization are a common threat in every training. These topics were chosen because almost everyone deals with them.
The Netherlands is part of the world, and this is reflected in the international relations of the government and the business community. We also see this on the street: The Netherlands has a multicultural society. A multicultural society is interesting, vibrant but sometimes also quite difficult because there are differences between cultures. Because of this multicultural society you will regularly work with colleagues from a non-Western background.
Our training courses help you to achieve results effectively together with others (regardless of their cultural background).
The training sessions described below give an impression of what the training can look like. Obviously, we will talk to the customer to ensure that the training is adapted in such a way that it fully meets the demand.
1. Training Everyone is different
Every moment you are in contact with someone else you use your soft skills. Soft skills are, for example: communicating, working together, guiding, leading and transferring experience. Sometimes you don't understand the other person and that is difficult. Sometimes you have a prejudice about the other person because he/she looks different from you, behaves differently, or maybe smells different. This all affects the way you respond and the way you use your soft skills.
Training outcome: You are aware of your own soft skills, the way you use them in dealing with others and you know how you can change or improve them.
Duration of training: 1 day
2. Training Intercultural skills: Spot the differences
The Netherlands is part of the world, and this is reflected in the international relations of the government and the business community. We also see this on the street: The Netherlands has a multicultural society. A multicultural society is interesting, vibrant but sometimes also quite difficult because there are differences between cultures and the way in which they work. It is always nice to discover similarities between different cultures, but you mainly learn from another culture by discovering the differences. Intercultural skills help you to collaborate effectively and learn from an international work environment.
Training outcome: You know what Intercultural skills are and how you can apply them at work.
Duration of training: 3 days
3. Training How to transfer my knowledge and experience
Induction of a new employee (or a colleague from another department) goes further than just explaining systems and protocols. By making more use of existing substantive knowledge and experience, it becomes possible to induce a new employee more quickly and improve his/her quality. It is a misconception to think that knowledge transfer only takes place from a senior to a junior employee. Juniors also have knowledge to transfer to seniors. Anyone who has substantive knowledge and/or experience on a subject might ask him-herself: how can my knowledge and experience be used and how can I pass this on to someone else?
Training outcome: You know how to transfer your knowledge and experience to someone else.
Duration of training: 1-2 days
