coachingResearch shows that companies and organizations perform better when their employees have a mixed cultural ethnic background (cultural diversity).
Yet, cultural diversity sometimes causes difficult situations in the workplace: incomprehension, annoyance, communication problems, group formation, exclusion or discrimination.
How do you deal with cultural diversity, how do you get the best out of employees with a non-Western background or how do you get the best out of a multicultural team?

It is often thought that training people is the solution. This is only part of the solution. In many situations coaching helps better and that is why we provide coaching to individuals and multicultural teams. Our coaching approach is the result of many years of international cooperation, emigration and re-migration. Using our intercultural skills, we develop a plan for coaching by:

  • Clarifying the coaching question, together with the coachee or the team
  • Understanding the story behind the question
  • Establishing the goal or result of the coachin, togehter with the coachee or the team
  • Developing a program to achieve the goal or result

At About Education a coach is

“Someone who helps someone else learn something that he or she would have learned less well more slowly or not at all if left alone” (Chip R. Bell).
