My name is Marina Versluis and education is my passion. Especially, training adults and coaching people to get the best out of themselves. I prefer to work in a multicultural environment and it can also be quite a complex environment. Then my (international) experience comes in very handy and I can quickly find the right approach.
About Education is about education. By education I mean: training, coaching, professional development, personal development and internationalization. All performed in a way that helps to achieve results at organizational level, personal level or project level.
About Education is founded upon my return to the Netherlands, after living and working in South Sudan for years. My international work experience, gained in Africa and Asia, are very useful in our multicultural society, with cultural diversity and migration on the national agenda. By working internationally I understand the way adults learn who were born in a non-Western culture, went to school there and found work. The years in South Sudan have made it clear to me that education and personal development determine your future. Education where you learn how to learn and how to apply knowledge. If you can't, it will have consequences during work or when finding a job, not only in Africa but also in the Netherlands.
About Education helps employees with how they can develop themselves so that they can perform better at work. And About Education supports employers how to guide their employees during work so, that the work results and the work atmosphere improve. The cultural diversity in Dutch society offers all kinds of opportunities to learn from other cultures: collaboration, connecting and appreciating. Also about the connection and international cooperation between the private sector and educational institutes. Intercultural competences help you with this.
I will continue to use my knowledge and experience for development aid organizations involved in education projects in developing countries. With my experience in training, coaching and developing (online) educational material, I am available as a consultant.
Assigments can be conducted in the Netherlands as well as abroad and I do my job by using words that everyone understands, applying a pragmatic approach and by making learning fun. This approach ensures that customers can be satisfied with the results.
